Players take on the role of Jack Carver, a former U.S. Navy serviceman turned illegal arms dealer who fled to Micronesia after a price was put on his head by the Mob. When a journalist hires him to ferry her to a remote archipelago, Jack's boat is destroyed by mercenaries and he finds himself stranded on an island hiding dangerous secrets. The game trades the open-ended level design of the PC original for a more linear, action-focused experience while introducing feral abilities, a trap system, vehicles, and an extensive map editor with online multiplayer support for up to 16 players.
